Refrigerated Air Dryer
Refrigerated Air Dryer Working Principle
Warm compressed air enters the air-to-air heat exchanger, where it is pre-cooled by the outgoing chilled air. This pre-cooling process improves efficiency and reduces the load on the refrigeration system.
The pre-cooled air then passes through the refrigeration (Freon) heat exchanger, where it is cooled to approximately +3°C. At this low temperature, moisture in the compressed air condenses into water droplets.
These droplets are effectively removed using a high-efficiency moisture separator (demister) and are automatically discharged through an auto drain valve, ensuring dry and clean air output.
The dry, cold air is then reheated in the air-to-air heat exchanger by incoming warm air. This reheating prevents condensation in downstream pipelines and improves overall system efficiency.
The final output is dry, moisture-free compressed air, ideal for use in instrumentation and industrial applications.
